Natural gas Compliance Officer Duties & Responsibilities

·         Review practices of gas system

·         Conduct leak investigations.

·         Identify potential risks.

·         Maintain regulatory knowledge.

·         Review and update internal policies. Including O&M Manual, OQ manual, Emergency Plan Manual, Public Awareness, School Pipe testing, Annual Report for US DOT, and Department of Energy.

·         Prepare and file required documents

·         Educate staff.

·         Prepare and attend Texas Railroad Commission, and TML audits.

·         Trained in all cover tasks in gas OQ and OM manual.

 

Utility meter reader,

·         Typical duties include driving along a route and recording the readings on meters, inspecting meters for defects and monitoring for abnormal usage volume or tampering that may indicate unlawful usage.

·         Make adjustments to route as needed. 

·         Make note of possible leaks on water leaks as well as gas.

 

Maintenance Office Assistant.

·         Assist maintenance supervisor or City administrator when needed.

·         Write/ Type reports.

·         Create on call schedule

·         Order supplies and parts for daily operations

·         Create and submit plans for new projects.

·         Work with Engineers with new projects.

·         Use line located equipment.
