Good morning,
We just concluded our 7:00 a.m. briefing, and I wanted to provide everyone with an update.
We received a little rain overnight, but thankfully conditions remain stable this morning. Fulton Street and El Paso Street will remain open at this time.
We want to reassure everyone that the City's drinking water remains safe to use.
If you need to travel to Del Rio, RM 131 to U.S. Highway 277 is currently open. U.S. Highway 90 East from Brackettville to Uvalde is also open.
While conditions have improved, we ask everyone not to become complacent. Please continue to monitor updates from Judge Schuster, Kinney County, and the City of Brackettville throughout the day.
I want to sincerely thank everyone for doing their part to stay safe throughout this weather event. We are grateful that our community did not experience any serious injuries. As we begin the recovery process, we ask for your patience with our City Public Works crew as they work to address the aftermath, clear debris, and restore affected areas. Your continued support is greatly appreciated.
Tony Zamora
Mayor, City of Brackettville
