Tests on Alert Systems on April 2, 2026.

Kinney County Emergency Management and the Deputy Chief Sheriff will be conducting tests on Alert Systems on April 2, 2026. The testing window is 10:00a – 12:30p CST to ensure unified coordination. Local alerting authorities shall utilize their primary, alternate, and contingency systems to ensure appropriate continuity withing their alerting processes. This event is associated with the Statewide Alert Notification Exercise with the Texas Department of Emergency Management aka TDEM. 

Tornado/Storm Warning: A long steady siren in one tone for three minutes.

Fire: An alternating high/low tone for approximately three minutes.

Attack/Defense Alert: A wavy tone of short blasts for three minutes.

10:00 AM the 1st Siren

10:15 AM the 2nd Siren

10:30 AM the 3rd Siren

10:45 AM the Bracket ISD - Perry Weather System

11:00 AM additional sirens are tested.
